SharePrices approached us for a complete website overhaul to modernise the user interface and to improve the user experience for existing members of the site. To covert new users into members was a huge business goal for the company, so a carefully crafted experience was created to hit these goals.
As most users accessed the site via the desktop site, this was our main focus for improvement; followed by mobile and other devices.
Our initial approach was to analyse the recorded database of user interactions with the current site through the HotJar service. This enabled us to identify and prioritise key UX issues within inner pages and the on-boarding process.
We offered the client multiple variations to show how we can offer unique experiences to logged in users and logged out users. For example, we would personalise the experience for new users through displaying the member benefits via concise micro-copy points and iconography, with a prominent Registration link built into the new design system we devised.
Meanwhile logged in users would receive a dashboard view which would allow them to navigate the site effectively, without becoming lost in the sitemap. Prominent features included a ‘search all companies’ field to quickly search for the company of interest within the desired share market. A list of quick links were also added to help bring existing users into commonly used sections of the site.
Moken were great to work with. The team understood the requirements and took true ownership of the project adding in valuable advice. I would recommend Moken as their services and delivery was second to none.
